Emily Seelman, Esq. is the founder, CEO, and valiant leader of Canna Business Services. Armed with a legal background, business marketing degree, and start-up industry experience, she brings an unmatched combination of multifaceted knowledge and dedication to the table.
In 2016, Ms. Seelman got her start in the cannabis industry while she was practicing as an Associate Attorney in the 13th largest law firm in the City of Pittsburgh. During her practice, Ms. Seelman helped build the firm’s cannabis division and supported clients in obtaining license awards in Pennsylvania’s very first round of licensing. Through this experience, Ms. Seelman became adept at supporting clients in ultra-competitive, limited license applications, a model that has been adopted by almost all east-coast and midwest States.
Noticing an apparent lack of quality support for cannabis industry hopefuls, Ms. Seelman started her own consultancy that has since grown into a global firm, Canna Business Services, supporting clients from all over the world. Canna Business Services is a woman-owned and majority-operated firm that provides its clients with the highest level of certainty in this high risk, uncertain industry. The team provides comprehensive services with a focus on pre- and post-licensure support, regulatory guidance, and business growth support. Due to its robust project management systems, her firm has earned the designation “the Consultant to the consultants”.
As a result of her experiences, Ms. Seelman has been a main stage speaker at numerous conferences and expos and has been interviewed on podcasts, radio shows, and in print publications, including Yahoo! Finance, MarketWatch, Associated Press (AP), Townhall Finance, Dow Theory Letters, International Business Times, WFMZ-TV, Street Insider, Value Investing News, 420 Beginner Magazine, Hawaii News Now, 8 News Now Las Vegas, Anchorage Press, and more.
Ms. Seelman has been a headlining speaker at pivotal cannabis conferences, including, but not limited to, New Jersey CannaBusiness Association (NJCBA) at Rutgers University, the Illinois 3-Day Roadshow, NeCann Atlantic City, Carolinas CannaBusiness Conference & Expo, Organa Kannalytics Atlanta, and Real Cannabis Entrepreneur New Jersey.
